full time M.Sc. Course sponsored by UGC,2008 , and Affiliated to Gauhati
University, has been running successfully. The deptt is engaged in
solving various environmental problems of the locality through field
visits, survey, collection of database and denomination of the same to
the public for better management. The deptt. regularly organizes
seminars and group discussion among the students on current
environmental issues. The deptt. has a sophisticated laboratory and
internet facility. The faculty members are also engaged in various
research work. This course bears a high potential for placement.
